Abstract:
There are mainly three kinds of materials which can be used in membrane filtration equipment. They are organic membranes, ceramic membranes and metallic membranes. Organic membranes can be hydrolyzed, eroded in acid or alkali solutions, and therefore have a short life span. In addition, they have low strength. Ceramic membranes have stronger strength than organic membranes. But they are so brittle that they are easily to be broken suddenly during application. Metalic membranes have gradually been applied in some valuable area owning to their high strength, anti-erosion abilities and long life span. However, their preparation technique was monopolized by some country and enterprise, which restricts their application.In this work, single porous ceramic mebranes of TiO2, SiO2, ZrO2 and Al2O3 were successfully fabricated on stainless steels substrates £¨SUS£© by sol-gel method. Besides, based on single membranes, hybrid membranes and multi-layer ones were also successfully prepared. The key techniques, such as sol-gel method, matching ability between substrates and mebranes, heat treatment of dried gel, phase structure, the relationship between casting solution and membranes morphologies were deeply explored. The main results and the creative points were listed as follows:1. The sol-gel thechnique was discussed. The optimal preparation parameters for destabilization of colloidal sol £¨DCS£© TiO2 sol was listed as follows: HNO3 was selected as the peptized acid; Ti:H+=1.2mol/mol, the temperature was at 60¡æfor 34h. When polymerization of molecular units £¨PMU£© method was used to prepare TiO2 sol, the ratio of all reagent was Ti£¨OBu£©4:H2O:HCl:EtOH=1:2:0.32:30mol/mol. The silica sol was prepared by DCS method, the ratio of all reagent was TEOS:H2O:EtOH:NH4OH=1:52.6:38.2:2.1mol/mol. The zironia sol was prepared using 1 volume ZrOCl2¡¤8H2O of 0.5mol/L solution and drip into 0.5 volume oxalic acid of 0.25mol/L, and was peptized for 30min. The alumina sol was prepared with ratio of Al(C3H7O:H2O:HNO3=1:300:0.22mol/mol, and peptized at 85¡æfor 12h.2. The suitable substrates were carefully selected from four kinds of supportes. Four kinds of single ceramic mebranes were prepared on porous titanium, nickel and SUS with different pore sizes. The results show that no continues membrane can be obtained on porous
