With acoustic positioning system to the development of high-precision , high- reliability , high data update rate , the increasing requirements of the test equipment , traditional signal generator has been difficult to meet the needs of multi-channel , real-time , complex waveform . Need to develop high-performance , integration , a general signal generator , to facilitate acoustic positioning system commissioning, performance testing , and maintenance under laboratory conditions . This thesis is compared on the basis of the technical advantages and disadvantages of several popular bus , the best performance internal bus PCI-E bus to achieve high - speed data transmission . The system hardware uses the PCI - E bus bridge FPGA structure , in the structure , the PCI - E bus bridge for connecting high-speed PCI-E bus and local bus as the DMA data transfer controller . FPGA as a local bus controller , local bus interface management , data cache , DA control and interrupt management functions . In order to complete the signal generator functions , the development of a computer-controlled process , set the signal parameters as well as the control signal sent by the man-machine interface . This paper details the various parts of the signal generator hardware circuit structure as well as device selection and combination of the various parts of the module interface diagram and simulation timing diagram on software design ideas and implementation methods . Finally, a variety of testing methods to test the performance of the signal generator , the signal generator to achieve the design requirements , has been used in a passive acoustic positioning system lab debug , but can also be applied to other acoustic positioning system laboratory test measurements .
