Abstract:
Low frequency transmitting transducers are mainly used in the field of detect stealth submarines, undersea seismic wave¡¯s simulation and underwater acoustic measurement in the laboratory. For the field of detect stealth submarines and undersea seismic wave¡¯s simulation, low frequency transmitting transducers can be made into a very large size to provide large volume displacement and high radiated sound power. For underwater acoustic measurement in the laboratory, in the condition of the radiated sound power which can meet the needs of measurement, low frequency transmitting transducers are customarily expected to be small and light for installation and dipping.A very low frequency transmitting transducer whose lower limit frequency is below 20Hz is developed in this paper. It can be used to calibrate the vector sensor in the standing wave tube. The size is¦µ290mm x 290mm. The total weight is 20kg and the maximum work depth is 2m.Based on the Helmholtz Integral Equation, the paper uses a high frequency vector hydrophone of co-vibrating type and studies the measurement method and system about radiated sound power of the very low frequency transmitting transducers. The satisfactory result provides reference for calibrating other types of low frequency sound source.
