Abstract:
LED display is an ideal outdoor information display media which can display text, images, two-dimensional and three-dimensional animation content. It can dynamically display text, pictures, animation, videos and other comprehensive information in different ways in real-time. Different types of LED displays are used in all fields of our daily life, such as banks, hospitals, vehicles, airports, stations, docks, highways, etc. It has been widely used in information dissemination.LED display has a control management chip embedded that controls what content the screen shows and the ways it displays.This paper describes the use of Borland Delphi 6 as a development platform, using Microsoft Access as the backend database, and the development of a dot-matrix LED display editing management communication system. Various techniques, such as computer graphics technology, serial communications technology, information theory and compression image coding technology, image processing and image production technology are adopted in development of this serial communication based LED display information management system consisting of image editing and preprocessing, code scanning, data transmission, screen settings and system management as major components.Development of LED display integrated with management system aims to provide users a convenient, easy-to-update content management system of outdoor display, significantly improving work efficiency and saving labor costs.
