Mobile wireless ad hoc networks is the move by a number of wireless nodes consisting of a fixed multi-hop wireless network architecture. In recent years, with the rapid development of the mobile terminal device and wireless technology for laptop, PDA, Ad hoc MANET technology is becoming people are concerned about and research focus. Ad hoc characteristics of mobile nodes in ad hoc networks would inevitably lead to the topology of the network to frequent changes, resulting in data transmission between its nodes collision probability relative to the other networks, greatly improving. Ability to use good backoff algorithm is able to establish one of the major components of perfect Ad hoc MANET, which is one of the current research focus. This paper studies backoff algorithm in Ad hoc ad hoc network IEEE 802.11 protocol and its associated problems, the main tasks include the following four aspects: First, the Ad hoc MANET meaning, features, applications and architecture. DCF backoff mechanism of the IEEE802.11 protocol in MANET Ad hoc review, a brief overview of the Ad hoc MANET backoff performance evaluation criteria. Finally, in order to solve the problem of network congestion status under high load environment, under the theory based on game theory, adding the idea of ??a dynamic threshold and Ridge and distribution functions to reduce the collision probability of data transmission, an improved new the dynamic threshold Ridge type backoff algorithm, called DR (Dynamic Ridge Backoff algorithm).
