As a new kind of polymer emulsifiers, polyisobutylene succinic acid alcohol amine emulsifiers has a greater advantage when applied in the emulsion explosive, compared with traditional emulsifier. In this paper, firstly polyisobutylene succinic anhydride was synthesized by green free radical method,which technology condition was relatively simple and easy to operate, especially this condition excluded the source of chlorine pollution, so that it had a high practical value; secondly, polyisobutylene succinic acid alcohol amine emulsifier was synthesized by polyisobutylene succinic anhydride and triethanolamine, in addition solvent method was studied compared with the solvent-free method, the result shows that that process conditions of solvent-free method was better than solvent method.In the second part, PIBSA is synthesized by HRPIB and MA, these are final optimized synthesis conditions:HRPIB is joined in the reactor in one-time, with n (MA)/n(HRPIB)=1.4and about4%of HRPIB of free radical initiator(DTBP), the reaction temperature is160¡æ.Before adding initiator, it is dissolved in xylene and divided into9portions, within the first one hour, two portions are joined, then joined one portion each hour, this process will last8hours in nitrogen atmosphere. After the reaction, under the condition of heat preservation, we should remove the rest of MA by vacuum extractor for2hours, at last we measured the content of active matter.The optimized synthesis conditions of PIBSA-2TEA are as follow, n(PIBSA)/n(TEA)=1:2in solvent-free and N2condition is necessary. Before reacting,PIBSA should be heated to160¡æ, and then put TEA into the reactor slowly, controlling feeding speed, the whole reaction time are3.5h.Finally, the performance of the application of emulsifiers in emulsion explosive are studied, the result shows that the storage stability of emulsion matrix prepared by polyisobutylene succinic acid alcohol amine emulsifying agent is better than that of Span-80and T152, and the emulsion matrix is more uniform and fine, and the detonation velocity is also better than that of Span-80and T152, experiments prove that this kind of emulsifier has obvious advantages over conventional emulsifier.
