Abstract:
In this paper, the modified asphalt was required from the experiment with the raw coal-tar asphalt, polymer modification material of SBS and PIB, catalyst of BFDE The heat stability, fracture surface, rheological feature and application performance were researched. Taking the modified coal tar pitch as raw material, the results of TG and SEM indicated SBS assimilated the oil in asphalt which made the system stable. compared with the raw asphalt, the fracture surface of asphalt modified by SBS manifested that the raw asphalt and SBS existed in their own states and could not blend well because of the existence of segregation; And the fracture surface of the coal tar pitch modified synergistically by SBS and polyisobutene was smooth, the structure was homogeneous the modifier and asphalt were blended together; The fracture surface of modified on the condition of the catalyst expressed fracture, brittle, and fragile.Taking the modified coal tar pitch as raw material, different modifiers at different temperatures on the modification of coal tar pitch viscosity, phase angle, rut factor, complex modulus and shear rate on viscosity, strain was studied. The rheological measurement illustrated the viscidity of asphalt was improved because of the synergism between SBS and PIB, which had better flexibility, a wide range of temperature and preferable resisting-rut ability; the preferable percent of the coal tar pitch modified synergistically by SBS and polyisobuteneb is2%and6%, respectively.Taking the modified coal tar pitch as raw material, the first exploration was carried through. The outcome of three indexes manifests the softening point was improved accounting for its better high temperature performance; the penetration required lower increase, less sensibility; the ductility acquired smaller increase and the low temperature performance was much better.
