This paper introduces the multi- level inverter status and development situation, and then a detailed study of three different topologies multi-level inverter. Which cascade multi- level inverter separated from each other because of their use of the DC side of the DC power supply , there is no voltage balance problems , and its H-bridge unit structure better suited to the modular design of the level of more than seven multi-level inverter occasion. Therefore, this article focuses on the cascade multi-level inverter PWM modulation technique commonly used in the comparative study of several PWM modulation technology, the proposed two PWM switching frequency modulation technique optimized and improved methods, and design a variety of modulation PWM wave generation circuit technology . For non-linear components of high harmonic generation , the simulation study to compare the number of different levels , different carrier frequency , modulation and different modulation methods under different PWM inverter output harmonic distribution . In conclusion, the inverter output waveform Harmonic distribution law is proposed based on a practical low-pass filter design methods , and through simulation experiments show that the filter has a simple and economical and practical features. Cascade multilevel inverter output waveform control strategy uses a digital PID -based control and repetitive control technology combined control methods. The control method of digital PID control strategy has fast response and good benefits repetitive control static characteristics . Through the controller's system performance analysis and output waveforms of the simulation study results show that the transient case, the digital PID proportional component of work, to ensure the system 's rapid response ; in the steady state case, repeat controllers no static error , ensure the steady-state targets.
