Abstract:
Wind energy, which is clean and environmentally-friendly resource, attracts attentionaround the world. The wind turbine blade which palys a key role in the efficiency and stableoperation of the generator has been a hot research. In order to reduce the cost of wind powertechnology and to improve the operating efficiency of the generator, this paper mainly focuson the research of10kW wind turbine blade, conducting a research on the structure andproperties of wind turbine blades. Its main contents are as follows:1. A wind turbine blade aerodynamic calculation model was established according to themomentum blade element theory and corrected under the consideration of all kinds of failureand loss. Using MATLAB genetic algorithm toolbox and taking the biggest coefficient ofwind energy utilization as the goal, such parameters as chord length and twist angle has beenoptimally designed. Compared with the results using traditional Wilson method, thecalculation model which combines the genetic algorithm with the momentum blade elementtheory had a wider range of high valuesC Pof wind speed and had better aerodynamicperformance.2. A three-bladed wind turbine entity model was established combined with the bladegeometry parameters. Furthermore, using Fluent software, a three-dimensional simulation ofthe flow field around was conducted, getting the distribution conditions of wind wheelmachine pressure and velocity distribution of surface air and torque value of the blade, according to which the wind power and the power coefficient was calculated. In addition, thecurve that blade aerodynamic performance parameters changed with the tip speed ratio underdifferent conditions was drawn, which could provide reference data for the design andmodifications of wind turbine blades.3. The model of three-bladed wind wheel channel flow analysis was built. Under theconsideration of fluid-structure interaction and pre-stress effect, a research on the dynamiccharacteristics and performance of the blade was conducted. The stress distribution of thewind turbine blades and the relationship curve between wind speed and first and second orderfrequency were calculated. The mode shapes under different conditions were compared andanalyzed. At the same time, this reasearch also discussed the changes of blade aerodynamicperformance under vibration conditions. The results show that the rotating prestress andfluid-structure interaction have a great impact on the dynamics and aerodynamic characteristics of the blade. This research can provide efficient analyzing method for optimal design andaerodynamic performance calculation of small wind turbines. Also, the results have importantreference value and practical significance for the aerodynamic design and safety and stableoperation of wind turbine blades.
