Abstract:
With the rapid development of modern industry, mold industry has been widelyused and concerned. Injection mold is one of the important components for the plasticmold. In the actual production of the injection molding, defects of the products aredifficult to predict due to the influence of many factors. The problem was solved by therepeated repairing mold£¬test mold£¬adjusted the technological conditions and then to putit into production .Nowadays£¬this method can not satisfy the requirements of the rapidproduction. With advantages of its own, CAE technology has become an effectivemethod to analyze the complex defects in the injection mold design.In this paper, original scheme in the three fields of flow, cool and warpage wassimulated and analyzed using the common mold CAE software- Mold flow. The resultsobtained include the process of the plastics melt how to flow, pack and cool in the cavity.According to the analytic results of the original scheme, defects of the flow andwarpage were predicted. At the same time, the reasons and solutions of the defects onthe weld lines and shrinkage deformations were proposed. On the basis of the aboveanalysis work, firstly, the gate location optimal design by the best gate location moduleis carried on. The sizes and positions of the weld lines were improved. Second, theoptimal processing conditions by the molding window module were proposed. Theshrinkage deformations were decreased a little. Finally, this paper using the packingpressure curve optimizing function to make the deformations decreased the reasonablerange.The research results in this paper are of great significance for the reasonable injectmold scheme. Simultaneously, an achievable way is explored for the FEA of thecomplex inject mold design by using the Mold flow software.
