Abstract:
Grinding is a process which is transforming the ore from large to small to some extent by milling and classification to liberate the valuable minerals from the discardable gangue, and avail to the subsequent beneficiation process. An effective automatic control of grinding processes has practical significance for improving product quality and production efficiency.Considering the intricate characteristics of grinding-classification process, such as multivariable, severe coupling, strong non-linearity, large-time delay, and time-variability, it¡¯s difficult to achieve the objectives of process index and economic benefit rely solely on based circuit control. We must use some certain optimize control algorithms to set the key process parameters, such as ore feeding, water supply and so on. So the study on the optimize control algorithms is very essential and has great practical significance. To reduce the cost and venture of debugging in the practical industry and fulfill the request of experiment repeatedly, it is significant and has practical value to found the software platform of experiment system for grinding process optimizing control in the laboratory. This paper is supported by "985 Project" Process Industry Integrated Automation Technological Creativity Platform Construction, to make the design and development for the the software platform of experiment system for grinding process optimizing control.The details are as follows:(1) Considering the experiment demand of the modeling, process control and optimial setting of grinding process, the whole structure of the software platform of experiment system for grinding process is designed for consisting of the object sub-platform, the process control sub-platform and the optimial setting sub-platform. There is a model library in the object platform, the specific technological process of ore grinding and classification can be composed by corresponding models from object model library, and the dynamic characteristics can be simulated in the object platform. The automatic control to the ore grinding process can be achieved from the process control platform. The basic circuit settings can be adjusted from the optimal setting sub-platform to achieve the optimal control of comprehensive production indices. The assistant function module is designed to realize user logging and management of user information and process datas.(2) LabVIEW is used as the only software tool to develop the object sub-platform, the process control sub-platform and the assistant function module. In the object sub-platform, the technology of shift register and array index are both used to achieve the cycle of solving differential equations; The dynamic inserting technology of Subpanel and operation to the "Text Attibute Node" of the front panel controls are used to realize modeling dynamic calling and data exchange by getting the reference of the model¢öin the object library; In the process control sub-platform, the method of the computer discrete is used to realize several control thearies generally used in the ore grinding process. The technology of configuration file reading and writing is used to set the alarm limit of the process control sub-platform. In the assistant function module, the data is storaged and management by the connection and operation to the Microsoft Access Database.(3) Functional testing and simulate experiment are done with the software platform of experiment system for grinding process optimal control. There are adding users, deleting and adding modules in the library in the functional testing, and an open-loop of a mill, spiral classifier and hydrocyclone concentration cascade control in the simulate experiment. The above work validate the developed software is effectively.
