Abstract:
The large output ripple current and poor dynamic performance impaired the performance of active clamp forward converter. Therefore, The Magnetic-Integration Technique and passive control were applied to active clamp forward converter in this paper to prove the whole performance.Firstly, the notion of flux positive coupling was proposed to derive the active clamp forward converter with integrated magnetics. The influence on active clamp forward converter introduced by integrated magnetics was described and the design rule of integrated magnetics was presented. Secondly, by analyzing the operation principle and working characteristics, the mathematics model of active clamp forward converter with integrated magnetics were established , the derivation of passive control strategy and the simulation verification were given in Simulink/Matlab. Experimental results fully confirm that the steady-state ripple and dynamic response had been improved by combining the methods of integrated magnetics and passive control, which verify the correctness the study of the theory.
