Facing humanity in the 21st century a serious environmental threat , continued to intensify the greenhouse effect , the nature of the energy cycle system has been destroyed , large-scale pollution in the extinction of some species , while also endanger human safety . Studies have shown that building activities consume the most energy and natural resources . Therefore , compared to all other artificial products , construction deal with the consumption of natural resources and environmental pollution increasingly assume more responsibility for the development of sustainable eco-building to get people to pay attention and try to by the major environmental construction changes in the problem makers to maintain and improve our living environment . In this paper, starting from the summer and warm winter climate and geographical factors , on the one hand , research on the ecological residential projects have been completed , summarize the advantages and disadvantages of the actual projects eco-design strategy , and with Malaysia and Taiwan the comparative analysis of the ecological residential projects , extraction which can learn from the design strategy ; the other hand, the \the same time, traditional houses space for the region , it is proposed to ecological factors in the traditional space into re-use in the modern ecological residential design , to inherit the region's traditional spirit of the living . The conclusions of this study include the possibility of China 's subtropical region ecological residential natural ventilation and shading design recommendations ecological factors into traditional living space design recommendations and living space in the flexibility of design recommendations .
