Chromium(¢ó) is an important role for glucose tolerance factor, that chromium(¢ó) can improve insulin activity to maintain the body¡¯s normal physiological function. The study found that reduce with the growth of the age. When chromium(¢ó) is insufficient, the role of insulin will be significantly reduced, and serious will cause diabetes. In this thesis choose 5-Chlorosalicylic acid as the first ligand, en. DETA¡¢TETA respectively second ligands, Cr(¢ó) as the center ion, three chromium(¢ó) complexes were synthesized and studied, hope to receive chromium(¢ó) reagents or lipid-lowering drugs.Chapter 1:ReviewMainly introduces the chromium(¢ó) basic nature, biological function, complexes type, biological mechanism, complexes with DNA interaction.Chapter 2:Synthesis and characterization of 5-Cl-SA-Chromium(¢ó) complexes5-Cl-SA as the first ligand and en, DETA, TETA respectively second ligands, a series of Cr(¢ó) complexes were synthesized such as [Cr(¢ó)(5-Cl-SA)(en)2]¡¤Cl¡¤2H2O¡¤2CH3OH¡¢[Cr(¢ó)(5-Cl-SA)(DETA)(H2O)]¡¤Cl¡¤H2O¡¢[Cr(¢ó)(5-Cl-SA)(TETA)]-ClO4¡¤H2O,(5-Cl-SA=5-chloro salicylic acid, en= ethylenediamine,DETA=Diethylenetriamine,TETA=Diethylenetriamine), which were characterized by means of elemental analyses, absorption spectra and fluorescence spectra, single crystal X-ray diffraction. The UV-Visible results showed that free 5-Cl-SA occurs obviously spectral changes before and after with Cr(¢ó). The fluorescence spectrum of the 5-Cl-SA displays emission peak strong, while in the complexes its fluorescent peak almost disappear.Chapter 3:5-Cl-SA-Chromium(¢ó) complexes spectral properties This chapter through spectrum method compared the complexes under different conditions of reactivities. Such as, pH 2.2 acid stability, conditions of photochemical reactions, H2O2 in the presence of the red-ox reaction and EDTA ligand substitution reaction. The results indicated that under acid condition, complexes are unstable happening acid solution; in the presence of H2O2, chromium(¢ó) can be oxidized to chromium(¢ö); in the illumination condition, the complex(1) produce a photochemistry reaction, d-d peak red shift, while complex(2) and complex(3) are insensitive to light, d-d peak not change significantly; three complexes with EDTA produce substitution reaction.Chapter 4:5-Cl-SA-Chromium(¢ó) complexes with pBR322DNA interactionThis chapter experiment studied different Chromium(¢ó) complexes with DNA interaction. Results showed that complex(2) can effectively cleavage DNA, in certain concentration complex(1) and complex(3) can not effectively cleavage pBR322DNA.Chapter 5:5-Cl-SA-Chromium(¢ó) complexes lipid-lowering activity researchThe experimental results showed that complex(1) and complex(3) have obvious glucose, lipid, cholesterol, triglycerides and low density lipoprotein lowering functions, but also increase the high density lipoprotein role.
